Welsford Rental Homes started in 1999 when David Welsford
began buying, renovating and renting houses in downtown Columbia. In 2001 he began to take
on the management of properties owned by others and he hired an office staff and began Welsford
Property Management.
In 2005 a partnership was formed between David Welsford and Stan Smith and Welsford & Smith Realty LLC was born. Currently Welsford & Smith LLC employs 11 real estate agents who are willing and
able to help with any client need.
Welsford Property Management LLC has grown into one of the more sizable property management
companies in Columbia, while continuing to provide the personal, individual customer service
we have become known for to our renters and absentee property owners. The homes we manage are
located in the Rosewood, Olympia and Historic Earlewood neighborhoods, as well as Cayce-West
Columbia, North and Northeast areas. We have 1 to 6 bedroom homes as well as duplexes, apartments
and condominiums. In order qualify to rent one of our properties, tenants must be acceptable in
2 of the 3 following areas: past rental references, job references, and credit score. In addition
